    Itinerary:

    DAY 1: ARRIVE BANGKOK FLIGHT (NOT INCLUDED)

    After clearing Customs and Immigration, and collecting your baggage, please look for our local representative holding a placard in your name to assist and transfer you to the hotel.

    En route, Klong Tour:

    Travel on the Chao Phraya River (The River of Kings) and on through the Klongs (canals) of Thonburi. You will have an opportunity to observe and photograph the serene family homes and temples along the waterways, which gave the city the name "Venice of the East". You will also pay a visit to one of the most photographed sights in Bangkok, the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). The majestic shrine has a pagoda of 76m high. It is decorated with glazed ceramic pieces that reflect the rising sun and gave the temple its name.

    DAY 2: BANGKOK

    Early breakfast at the hotel. 7:00am pick up from the hotel and proceed to visit the Floating Market and the city. To discover the way Bangkok used to be, travel approx.100km. Outside of Bangkok, to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market with its many colors, flavors and exotic fragrances. Start with a scenic ride on a narrow long tail-speedboat, passing riverside villages and fruit plantations, before entering the vibrant market. There will be many photo-opportunities along the way and on the colorful market on the water. After the visit, return to Bangkok. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to The Grand Palace - a "must see" for every visitor to Bangkok. Located close to the banks of the Chao Phraya (The River of Kings) the Grand Palace is the perfect example of an ancient Siamese court. Within the compound is the "Temple of The Emerald Buddha" (Wat Pra Kaew), which houses Thailand’s most precious image of the Lord Buddha. The Emerald Buddha is believed to have supernatural powers and is dressed in robes according to the season by the King of Thailand himself.

    Important: Please note that you are required to wear proper attire (no bare shoulder, bare knees or strapless-heel shoes). Shoes must be removed before entering all temple buildings.

    Enjoy a luxurious dinner on an antique rice barge, while the historical landmarks along the River of Kings as the Temple of Dawn, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace and the lights of the city, float by.

    DAY 3: BANGKOK

    Breakfast at the hotel. 7:30am pick up from the hotel lobby and proceed to visit Ayutthaya by car and shared boat. Leave Bangkok for Ayutthaya, the ancient Siamese capital. Today, Ayutthaya hosts some of Thailand's most important historical landmarks and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The magnitude and number of the ancient temple ruins speak of the former greatness of the city. You will visit some of the most interesting temples and nearby Bang-Pa-In. The Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace of King Rama V consists of buildings in Gothic, Renaissance, Chinese and Thai architecture. Cruise back to Bangkok along the Chao Phraya River aboard a river cruiser. En route you can observe the scenic river life as you enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

    DAY 4: BANGKOK / PHITSANULOKE – DRIVE

    Early breakfast at the hotel. 7:00am pick up from the hotel lobby and proceed on your drive to Phitsanuloke with sightseeing in Lopburi. Leave the hotel in Bangkok and drive to Sukhothai. En route visit Wat Phra Phutthabat, the "temple of the Buddha's footprint" is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site located in a rural area between the towns of Lopburi and Saraburi. A mondop on top of a small hill houses a footprint of the Buddha that was discovered in the 17th century. Continue to Lopburi; visit King Narai's Palace, officially named Phra Narai Ratchaniwet is the former Palace of Ayutthaya King Narai. The ruins of the Palace, locally known as Wang Narai are located in the old center of Lopburi town. (Closed on Mon -Tue; Public holidays). Lunch at a local restaurant. Drive to the city of Phitsanuloke and visit Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat then check-in at the hotel.

    DAY 5: PHITSANULOKE / CHIANG RAI

    Early breakfast at the hotel. 7:00am pick up from the hotel lobby and proceed on your drive from Phitsanuloke to Chiang Rai with sightseeing in Sukhothai. Sukhothai - visit the famous Historical Park of Sukhothai. You will be amazed by the many ruins from the 13th century. Wat Mahathat is considered the magical and spiritual center of the Kingdom and at Wat Sri Chum you will see one of the largest sitting Buddha statues of the country. Sukhothai was also the first capital of the Kingdom of Siam and is considered to be the cradle of Thai culture. Lunch at a local restaurant en route. After lunch, proceed on a long drive to Chiang Rai. Arrive Chiang Rai, late evening and check into the hotel.

    DAY 6: CHIANG RAI

    Breakfast at the hotel. 8:00am pick up from the hotel lobby and proceed on your excursion to the Golden Triangle. Drive to Mae Chan to visit the Hilltribe Village, continue to Mae Sai, the northern most point of Thailand on the Thai - Burmese Border. Then drive through the enchanting countryside to the Golden Triangle, the famed area where Laos, Myanmar [Burma] and Thailand meet. Lunch at a local Restaurant. Visit Opium Museum House. Then continue on to the old city of Chiang Saen (A.D.1260) on the steep banks of Mae Khong River opposite to Laos, to witness some magnificent ancient ruins and temples before returning to Chiang Rai.

    DAY 7: CHIANG RAI / CHIANG MAI - DRIVE

    Breakfast at the hotel. 8:00am pick up from the hotel lobby and proceed on your drive from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai with sightseeing en route. Drive from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai. En route visit Wat Rong Khun (The white temple). Stopping at the famous hot spring at Mae Ka Chan. Lunch will provide at local restaurant. Visit Doi Suthep. Arrive Chiang Mai visit the mountain temple Wat Doi Suthep, which is situated on a hill, 1050m high. On clear days, you will enjoy a fantastic view over the town and the province. Then transfer to hotel and check-in.

    DAY 8: CHIANG MAI

    Breakfast at the hotel. 8:00am pick up from the hotel lobby and proceed to visit Elephants at Work (No Riding). Visit a jungle area north of Chiang Mai where there is an Elephant camp. You are shown how the elephants are trained from young age onwards. The "pupils" will then demonstrate what they have learned. Later, proceed to visit an Orchid farm. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to visit a handicraft village. Chiang Mai without its worldwide known handicraft villages is unthinkable, because so many artisans and artists are assembled here that a visit is a must. You will visit the villages of the Umbrella makers, Wood carvers, Silver smiths, Silk weavers and Jewellery.

    Overnight: Holiday Inn Chiang Mai (Superior Room)/Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa (Deluxe Lanna Room)
